Noah: A Players Reflection

Recently, I completed work experience with West Brom Basketball Club. This opportunity gave me valuable experience in leading coaching sessions and observing different coaching styles. I also developed essential life skills, such as speaking confidently in front of groups. These experiences allowed me to grow both personally and professionally.

In addition to my work experience, I am a proud member of the West Brom U18s Basketball Team, which I joined at the start of this season. My basketball journey began in the 2022-23 season, I have played at two clubs previously before joining West Brom. Joining the Under 18s team has been a particularly rewarding experience. From day one, I was warmly welcomed, and I quickly built strong friendships with both my teammates and coaches. These relationships have played a significant role in my growth as a player, creating a supportive and inclusive environment with high team chemistry.

This season has been a turning point for my basketball development. Under the guidance of Coach Dennis, I have gained a deeper understanding of the game by learning to see it from multiple perspectives. He has taught me how to stay focused and motivated, even when the team faces challenges, such as being a few points behind in a game. This support and guidance have boosted my confidence to levels I have never experienced in previous seasons.

Looking ahead, I am excited for the remaining games this season and determined to keep improving. My goal is to help the team achieve success while continuing to develop my own skills further.

Overall, my time with West Brom Basketball Club, both as a player and during my work experience, has been transformative. These experiences have deepened my passion for basketball and equipped me with skills I will carry forward into all aspects of life.
