Weekend Review U19s, U13s, Div 2

On Friday night our under 19s started their YBL season, as they hosted local rivals WBA D-Squad. After a slow start, being down by as many as 17 points, the team showed great heart and effort trimming the deficit to just two points in the fourth quarter. However this was in vain as the early deficit was too much to overcome resulting in a ten point loss. Despite the loss Coach Sheridan was impressed with the teams performance “Todays game was a big learning experience for us. Despite the loss there are plenty of positive to take from todays game. We will now regroup and prepare for next weekends fixture at Frankley Falcons.”

Sunday our under 13s travelled to Bromsgrove Bears where they continued their great start to this season, following on from last weeks victory. Coach Cameron is impressed with his under 13s so far this season after a challenging first season and has high hopes for his young group.

Our division 2 team were also in action as they hosted Shropshire Warriors in the Rosebowl cup competition. Despite struggling to score the team were able to hold on and come away with a four point victory, advancing to the second round of the competition. Coach Rudge is happy with the progress the team is making with high hopes for their league campaign as well as their cup run.
