Mixed Results in LTG Cup First Round

WBBC U15s v City of Birmingham Rockets U15s

Our under 15s got off to a good start in the LTG Cup. Coach Preware’s team started the game with good pressure defence. They turned defence into easy offence with good transition and several people contributed early. Reon made some tidy early baskets and Louis made some tough transition plays carrying the offensive load for a while. Defensively the entire team was excellent. Notable contributions by Daniel, Joel, Khari and Nathan helped us maintain our lead. Other notable performances came from Cornell on the boards and Aman and Manvir providing determined defensive tenacity and enthusiasm. The positivity of the team was infectious and helped them maintain their focus regardless of who was on the court. A great team performance and win to start the year.

Final score 79 – 36. Top Scorers: Louis 27, Reon 13, Joel & Daniel 12.

Coach Preware and the under 15s take on local rivals Sporting Club Albion next Sunday in their league opener.
