Sunday 1st October, local derby v Albion, Coach Preware’s Report:
The game started pretty flat with us struggling to score. Towards the end of the first quarter we scored some nice fast break points and headed into the second quarter up seven points. This continued in the second quarter seeing us 31-18 ahead going into half time. Cornell got into early foul trouble and inconsistent play from some of our players saw a big swing in the third quarter. Our bench tried to help but Albions size and speed were a problem for us. At times certain aspects of play were very positive including our distribution at the start of the break. More defensive work is required but re-enforcing our offensive principles should also help move the team forward.
Final score: West Brom 57 – 58 WBA D-Squad.
