Yesterday our women’s team were eliminated from the WMWBL Cup competition at the Semi Final stage. Despite a strong start to the game our girls struggled to overcome a more experienced Shropshire Warriors team. Trailing by just ten at half time 28-18 the game was put out of reach following a 14-2 scoring run by the Warriors to end the third quarter. During the fourth quarter our girls were able to show class and put in a tough defensive effort. We wish the best of luck to Shropshire Warriors and Birmingham Lasers who will be competing in the Cup Final.

The girls now look ahead to Friday’s League Semi Final where they will take on a strong Birmingham Lasers side. Coaches and players will be looking to carry the strong fourth quarter efforts through to Fridays game. Come and support our girls, 8:00pm tip off, Friday 28th April, George Salter Academy.
