Weekend Review 5 games in 4 days!

Our club has enjoyed a busy weekend with five games in four days.

Staring off on Friday our mens team were in action against West Midlands Police. Our men got off to a hot start and never looked back. Taking a 25-8 first quarter lead our mens team put together a solid team performance going on to win the game 87-62.

Saturday morning saw our under 13s and under 15s travelling away to Bournville Bears and Coventry Tornadoes respectively.

Despite a strong start to the game our under 13s were unable to bring home a win, losing 45-60. Despite the loss Coach Cameron is impressed with the progress he is seeing from his young team every week.

Up next our under 15s took on Coventry Tornadoes and were able to pick up a 30 point victory. Coach Preware was generally pleased with his teams performance and had this to say “Good game. Slow start but good defence and transition helped us build on a slim lead at the start of the second quarter. We transitioned well but need to work on improving our individual defence.” Louis lead the team in scoring with 27, while Cornell and Daniel added 14 each.

Sunday our men were back in action for the second time this weekend, taking on MLC. Building on the momentum from Fridays win our men came out and put together another solid team effort at both ends of the floor. By the end of the first half we had secured a 66-41 lead. The team did not look back, continuing to push forward in the second half and going on to pick up another crucial win 109-80.

Monday night our mens development team made the short trip to take on Walsall 99ers. In a back and fourth game Player/Coach Cameron and our young team were unable to bring home the win. Our mens development.
