In a quiet weekend for the club we had three teams in action this weekend. U14s, U18s and our Division 2 Men. First up, on Saturday, our under 14s made the trip to Bromsgrove Bears. In a dominant performance our under 14s came away victorious 102-34. The under 14s move to 6 wins and 2 losses on the season. Coach Cameron’s side will continue to work hard this week as they prepare to travel to Shrewsbury Storm next weekend.
To finish Saturday’s schedule our under 18s played hosts to Warwickshire Hawks. In a closely contested game and the score tied at 66 to end regulation our under 18s were able to come away with a 4 point overtime win 78-74. Nelson Ogbomo led the team with solid inside play and crashing rebounds en route to a 31 point game. Coach Preware’s side improve to 4 wins and 3 losses on the season and they now have two weeks to prepare for their next league battle, hosting Wolverhmapton SLAM on the 2nd December.
In our only Sunday game to close out the weekend our Division 2 mens side hosted Stourport Spartans. In an impressive team performance we were able to finish the weekend with a convincing 83-41. The team now moves to 3 wins and 3 losses for the season. The team now have three weeks to prepare for their next league fixture as they travel to HMP Featherstone on the 10th December.
